The Lauer Foundation PSE returned to Sandberg Elementary School to present a program to 5th grade students for their Multicultural Diversity Day and their Multicultural Night where cultures from around the world were celebrated with music, dancing, food, and activities for all ages. We were happy to share our experiences with our program, “Africa: A Day in the Life” which celebrates African wildlife, student experiences, cultural differences, lifestyle, and tackles some of the challenges faced. Sandberg School has students from approximately 20 countries and district wide approximately 100 countries. Approximately 50% of the students spoke at least one other language in their fifth grade classes. A great time was had by all.
