The Lauer Foundation summer intern, Leiana Santoro is working hard on projects. Leiana will be a senior at Appalachian State University. Her primary focus has been the input of data for Lauer Foundation specimens into the Specify Collection Management system. We have over 3,000 specimens to input. This requires more than input as the Taxon tree, Geography tree and Litho tree need to be input as well. The Foundation had many researchers visit during Leiana’s internship and this has allowed her to talk to them and get advice and input for her future studies.
