Lauer Foundation Celebrates 10 Year Anniversary

Ten years ago Bruce and Rene Lauer established the Lauer Foundation for Paleontology, Science and Education as an operating not-for-profit institution. We decided to start the Foundation to ensure that scientifically important specimens were permanently available to science. We have come a long way since our inception. We continue our goals of Curate, Collaborate and Outreach. Our collections have grown substantially, we have established a significant list of collaborators and begun a Research Associate program.

We have met the requirements to hold holotype fossils and researchers are free to publish on our specimens.  We continue our outreach efforts.

What sets the Lauer Foundation apart from other museums is that we actively reach out to researchers to utilize and publish on important specimens in the collection.  We have worked on a number of publications with collaborators from around the world.

We are proud of our accomplishments and hope we can continue to provide opportunities to further scientific research.
