We are excited to announce that Luke Rose has published a paper in the inaugural issue of “Lithodendron" the Science and Natural History Journal of Petrified Forest National Park. The paper is titled "DESCRIPTION OF A NEW UPPER TRIASSIC FOSSIL LUNGFISH (SARCOPTERYGII:DIPNOI) LOCALITY FROM THE GARITA CREEK FORMATION, EAST-CENTRAL NEW MEXICO, WITH A REEVALUATION OF LATE TRIASSIC LUNGFISH DIVERSITY IN THE AMERICAN SOUTHWEST”
Luke authored this paper as an undergraduate at Appalachian State University under Dr. Andy Heckert. We are proud of Luke and very excited about the scientific work coming out of the Homestead at Garita Creek site.
