In October the Lauer Foundation had the opportunity to visit Waygate Technologies outside of Cincinnati, Ohio. Our friend Jake Kean, now at the Natural History Museum in Abu Dhabi, introduced us the Waygate. The concept was a joint project to scan important specimens for research and allow Waygate to use the results of the scan as examples of their technology in their portfolio. Our visit was a test run to see if the micro CT units could scan some of the specimens. Waygate was very accommodating and scanned several specimens. We await segmentation of the data to see the outcome of the scan tests. We thank Waygate for their hospitality. And there was a fossil park behind the facility!
